My name is Janell Youngberg and I have a passion for exercise and nutrition. I received my Bachelors Degree in 1996 in Lifestyle Management and then became certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist. As a personal trainer, I love helping others accomplish things that they think are out of reach and teaching them to be their "best self"!
Do I always love exercising? The answer may surprise you, but it is NO! It is really hard for me mentally and physically especially when my alarm goes off at 5am and I think I am losing my mind because I have to force myself to get out of bed. In fact as a kid, my family, that I love, always greeted me with the "grumpy" song each morning. I now choose to be a morning person and I love the feeling I get when I have accomplished something that seemed out of reach for me and I have succeeded! Exercise has always been a huge part of my life as I grew up playing soccer and running track. My body has had its share of injuries and problems and sometimes I feel like I'm constantly climbing hurdles to keep myself healthy. I try to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow and learn new things and have been forced to explore new avenues of exercise and training techniques.
I am a mom to 3 beautiful kids and loving that more than anything else, except for my husband that is! I take time for me so I can be a nice mom and that is wonderful. I have 24 hours in a day to juggle and so do you; there are no more excuses of "I don't have enough time" that just means it is not a priority. I hear the excuses already, so to answer those remarks, "Yes, I have exercised with tiny babes on my lap as I rode an exercise bike and pushed them in jogging strollers and now I am taxi mom to 3 very busy kids. It is part of my life to exercise and THERE ARE NO EXCUSES JUST PRIORITIES! We are a very active family as we love to hike, bike, ski, swim, spend time together, and love to go to the ocean!
